Where the RoWarden team posts announcements, release notes and status notices.
The Updates category is where the RoWarden team publishes news. Only the team can start topics there; everyone can reply.
- Announcements: new features and important changes.
- Release notes: what changed in each release.
- Status and maintenance: outages and planned maintenance.
Posts by the team carry a RoWarden Team badge. Pinned topics stay at the top, and featured topics appear in Official updates on the forum home page.
To hear about new announcements, open the category and set it to Watching new topics. When the team has set an announcements channel, new announcements are also posted in the RoWarden Discord server.
For the team: drafts and scheduling
People with the forum.announce permission can choose Save as draft (only the team can see it) or Schedule for later when posting in an official category. A scheduled topic becomes visible at the chosen time, and people watching the category are notified then, not before. A super administrator can also tick Also show as the site banner: when the topic is published its title becomes the site-wide banner for a week, replacing the current one.
Drafts and scheduled topics never show up in search, profiles or sitemaps.
